Standard cancellation policy
24-hour risk-free cancellation
For any ticket purchased directly from Delta, you can cancel within 24 hours of booking for a full refund to your original form of payment.
Refundable tickets
Cancellation before departure: You can cancel a refundable ticket anytime before your flight’s departure for a full refund. Call at +1-888-415-1245 (US) or +44-203-869-5245 (UK) The refund is automatically issued to your original form of payment.
Cancellation process: You can manage the cancellation through “My Trips” on delta.com.
Non-refundable tickets (excluding Basic Economy)

Change fees: Change fees have been eliminated for tickets originating in the U.S. and Canada, though you must still pay any fare difference for your new flight.
Basic Economy tickets
No changes: Basic Economy tickets are non-changeable in most cases.
Cancellation fee: You can cancel a Basic Economy ticket for a fee, and the remaining value will be issued as an eCredit toward a future flight.
Expiration: The eCredit is valid for one year from the original ticket purchase date.
